Meghan Leonard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Government at Illinois State University. Her research examines how justices on state high courts make decisions, focusing on the effect of elections, gender, and the role of the separation of powers structure in the states. Dr. Leonard teaches courses on the judicial system, judicial decision-making, voting rights, and Constitutional Law. She received her PhD from the University of Arizona in 2010.
